Cammy Hipp Legacy: Supporting Families Facing Endometrial Cancer

Strength. Compassion. Faith

These three words describe Cammy and the way she lived, even through a six-year battle with Stage 4 endometrial cancer. Cammy was not someone you met and forgot. She was the person clapping the loudest when you took your first steps, showing up for birthdays and fireworks, cheering you on through milestones, and offering encouragement when you needed it most. To those who knew her, Cammy was family.

Cammy’s life was marked by resilience. She overcame a difficult childhood and carried a deep sense of responsibility for the people she loved. From a young age she worked tirelessly, pursued her education, and lived with a quiet determination that never left her. She loved fiercely and selflessly. She stood by her family through hardship, embraced her husband and his family with her whole heart, and poured herself into the lives of her children and grandchildren.

When cancer entered her story, Cammy refused to let it define her or dictate the way she lived. Even in treatment, she chose to live each day with intention and gratitude. She traveled, attended concerts, volunteered, cared for her grandchildren, made trips to Tennessee, helped her mother, and continued to show up for the people she loved. Those closest to her remember that even in the hardest moments, she still found ways to smile, laugh, and bring light into the room.

Cammy was also a devoted supporter of Vickie’s Angel Foundation. As a member of our VAF family, Cammy personally understood the impact of our mission and we were honored to support her during her cancer journey. When she was doing well, she served on our Evaluation Committee, helping review requests and decide what support we provide to families. She also spoke at VAF events about the impact this mission has on individuals and their families, because she believed deeply in showing up for anyone in the thick of it. Cammy did not just inspire others with her attitude. She took action. She served.

If Cammy’s story moved you, we invite you to help carry her legacy forward. Please visit the Cammy Hipp Memorial Fundraiser and consider making a donation. Every gift through this campaign will be dedicated to supporting women with endometrial cancer through Vickie’s Angel Foundation.
