Understanding and Approaching Grief - A Forum

grief.jpg

Where:  Grace United Methodist Church - 309 Herman Ave. - Lemoyne, PA  17043

Join Lynn and Lisa Zoll, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Instructor of Social Work at Temple University as they discuss the following topics:

*Recognize common reactions to grief

*Examine a less structured approach to grief, that allows grievers to focus on their journey rather than on stages, timeframes, expectations and the elimination of closure.  According to Lynn, "You love them forever.  Why wouldn't you grieve them forever?"

*Understand the importance of encouraging reflection and storytelling.

*Walk away with solid advice on how you can help family and friends through the grieving process.

Facts:

Death is awkward.  Grief is grief no matter who dies or how they die.  What is different is the intensity and duration of the grieving process.  Grief is complex and everyone's journey is unique.

You will walk away from this forum with a better understanding of the grieving process and how you can help others.

We hope to see you there!
